Looks absolutely dialed. Theres not many steel ebikes out there and i think this is one of the best representations of what it should/could be. Even if you don’t post all the details here, I’d be super keen on having a chat about this particular way of design. I wonder if someone has ready to use drawn profiles of the bottom tube somewhere in taiwan or china.

I’ve not found a tube so far. Not one that is close enough. If I was selling enough bikes I’d get a bunch made. I have some ideas but it’s going to take some real investment to get it done properly.

I’m trying to remember to document the process but I’m running out of time to be ready for the show. Have a plastic full size model of the e-dh for display and may do a 3d printed half cut frame to show the punters what’s inside.

Got the front end welded up today. Helped by a good mate to do the welding itself. He also delivered a brand new soak tank he made for me. That will be awesome for etching frames etc. Also got the swing arm done. Just waiting on the tubes for the seat stays to be delivered Monday to finish off the fab work.

Oooft! Getting close to finishing. New wheels and tyres to go on and RF cranks and a new derailleur ( can’t find the one I was going to use.)

The fork I’ve ended up using is 180 travel and I was designing for a 150/160 fork. Might reduce the travel to 160 to balance the bike out.

Great lines and excellent color! Did you get the motor/battery/controller from Maxon or a distributor or off a bike?

Im working direct with Maxon. It’s a bit of a collaboration. Actually haven’t got the parts yet. Just got the 3d model of the motor and printed it out. Parts should be coming before Xmas.

Cheers mate. Are you going to Sea Otter?

No, unfortunately not.
Schedule clashes. Heading to Bespoked in Osaka tomorrow and will be away for a week.

But we’ll have a bike on a supplier’s stand.
