Mine is so regular compared to many of these! Love the diversity of badges here.
I had a friend help me with the design and contacted Jen Green to cast them in bronze. I always loved bronze headbadges and wanted to emulate some of my favorite builders with my own badge that comes stock on every frame. She does such great work and makes so many builder badges!
She will form them if you want or can do it yourself. I’ve used my old 3-jaw vise to form the badge to the tube diameter needed (that i used to use as my main tube mitering vise on a rotab, seen attached).

Nice! I guess once you start having a sales flow it’s worthy to get them done by pros like Jen Green.
Are they silver brazed or glued after powdercoat?

I just did this on a bike for my friends 40th birthday. A dime, nickel, and a quarter all from the year he was born.
Gonna polish them up all purdy like after paint.

Here’s mine. This is a render, I’m still awaiting them arriving. I’m getting them in both pewter and brass.

She does such great work, there’s a reason so many go to her for their badges!
I started out by using JB Weld to powder coated frames and that works find but it’s easier and faster to just use thin double sided tape. I found the drilling/tapping of those tiny bolts to work fine but not what I wanted to do, and take up head badge space and influence the design. Never felt they were any more secure with those tiny bolts either but I really like the riveted @manzanitacycles design!

Sorry, it’s time for me to bail on the forum.

Loving that green (apparently posts must be a minimum of 20 characters so now I’m typing loads of extra stuff to make sure I’ve got enough characters).

We typically run a decal on our headtube as we’ve never been huge fans of headtube badges.
Sacrilegious I know. But at the insistence of a few of our customers we’ve started to look into options.
Specifically, we’ve been exploring SLA-printed headbadges with Electroless Nickel coatings! While your design does need to accommodate the requirements of plated metal, you have a lot of freedom in what the final shape will look like. It’s also lighter for all the weight-weenies out there but still feels like metal.

I’m right in the middle of getting some badges made up, so this topic is perfect timing for inspiration and attachment ideas!

I received headbadges.
The light and dark relief was reversed and they’re the wrong size so the makers are redoing the batch.
The problems not withstanding i am impressed with the quality. I ordered 250 of them and they were £2 a pop.
I got them from schild.inc on insta.

Adding to the headbadge talk. I had a large batch made by Star Label Pin Co. I designed the badge and they are made over seas. I went the laser cut way for a while but I was really looking for the multi colored enamel badges and these fit that bill. I think they turned out very nice. The process of working with tStar was great too. These come shaped to the desired HT size and come with 3m sticky backing too!

Here are mine, both made by Jen Green. I’m just a hobby builder so head badges are different for each bike.
