The SS tabs are tall due to the clearance requirements for UDH. Although they could be made shorter, a taller tab ensures that there are no clearance issues once the SS have been welded.
Right, but we need to make sure that clearances work with both snap ring and UDH. Thanks for the feedback, we’re still working on solutions.

I tend to like the aluminum inserts for the brake mount, like on the current BoBi dropouts. Even though most will never change it out, you have the option of two colors to add flair (i think it looks cool at least) and a possible change in brake standard down the road. If it’d save weight that’d be cool too!

@Calvin_pmw any update on these?
We currently have this project on the back burners. We feel that a dropout like this one would be better suited as a 3D printed part, given how time intensive it would be to machine and the high material cost, especially in titanium. We’re still looking into this. It’s a cool idea, but bringing it to life has proven challenging. So as of right now, we haven’t made any progress unfortunately.
We do currently offer dropouts that serve a similar function, such as the bobi, which was designed to act as an integrated brake mounting option. We are also working on a UDH specific dropout right now that will be ready for the MADE show. The ti version can accommodate 160 rotor, and the steel potentially 140 as well as 160. But the builder would still have to weld on the brake mount separately.
