Rear chain line

If I understood the matter at hand correctly, the same (or at least almost) effect can be reached by pairing a Super Boost 157x12mm rear axle spacing with a standard BB shell, like BSA 73mm. The chain line is straighter in the smallest cogs and the spoke tension difference between the left and right sides of the wheel is smaller.

WeAreOne is doing this with their Arrival frame.

In my mind, it’s not about swapping wheels at your convenience. It’s about breaking a wheel and having to custom build a replacement rather than stopping into a shop to quickly buy a replacement and getting back on the road. And if you’re saying you’re not worried about breaking wheels, then one of your premises is faulty.

You seem to have come up with a lot of ‘work arounds’ for the problems you’re introducing. It’s been a long, long time since I (or anyone I know) suffered any of the issues you’re trying to solve.

I think I’d go back to the comment that ‘you’re over thinking this’ based on big bike company marketing. They are searching for benefits that are theoretical and/or lock you into their replacement parts. My guess is this is another concept that will be gone in a couple years.
