Lifetime bike guy. Never worked at a shop, but did maintain a fleet of 35 MTBs in the 90’s for Cycle Alaska. Wanted to build my own bike since I saw Bill Davidson’s shop after I did some rides with Team Impulse in Seattle in the 80’s. I did a solo cross-country ride in 2010 and thought A LOT about what the ideal bike might be…but never came to any conclusions, of course. Now I’m a fat dad in Virginia with a million ideas in my head and a few frame builds under my belt.
