My name is Charlie, I live on Dena’ina land in Dgeyay kak’/Anchorage. I’m 24, and started framebuilding 4 years ago. I’ve made 2 frames so far, but have been moving and without space for framebuilding for the past two years. Now that I’ve found a home for my shop, I’m getting my framebuilding equipment set up. I am really drawn to the process of brass brazing with oxy acetylene, but have a bit of tig experience that I’m eager to bolster.
I’d eventually like to make production frames to sell in my shop, and offer framebuilding classes as part of the Susitna Bicycle Institute’s programming.
I love utility biking, and have aspirations to make e-assist cargo bikes that can help me truck around Anchorage running errands.
