Annular Cutters

Has anyone had any experience using these? I’ve been told that they are outstanding for mitering but haven’t seen them in use myself. If so, how well to they work compared to hole saws or small end mills?

Thanks.

I have used a 38mm one a couple of times, I think you probably need a lot more rigidity than you do with a holesaw. Not a problem if you have a mill though.

It cut a very accurate hole. I had to do some filing to take it out to 38.1mm for the 1 - 1/2 in tube that went in there.

I recently picked one up in 1.5in to do some miters. Very true and much less runout than hole saws. Teeth per inch is still less than ideal for cutting tubing, but still very consistent and stable doing miters.
