Book recommendations for full suspension kinematics

Hello fellow frame builders=)

I am looking for books to make a deep dive into full suspension kinematics, do you have any rocomendations, which I should read?

cheers Sebastian

I love this stuff! These are some resources that I’ve used to form my understanding:

Motorcycle Dynamics by Vittore Cossalter is the go-to textbook for academic course on the subject. While motorcycle specific, it’s a helpful foundation (and math) for the characteristics we talk about with bicycles (anti-squat, anti-rise, etc). There is also plenty in the text to skip over for bicycle specific, unless you’re also designing something to go 160kph+

For bicycle specific, Youtube has been useful for me.
Check out AndreXTR and Vorsprung Suspension’s Tuesday Tune series.

Both are good about analyzing current bike designs and critiquing design decisions. This is helpful for me to see what has been tried, what worked, what didn’t work, and form my own opinions on how a suspended bike should feel.

The Tony Faole book is a good read.

Dan Roberts does a pretty good job explaining this stuff in his Pinkbike articles

I learnt a lot from, and often refer back to race tech’s motorcycle suspension bible
