And back then I thought it broke because I did something wrong… I think someone on Reddit or Facebook even told me I installed the wrong stem
I think there is also a chance of drilling out the old steerer. I’ve used a regular drill press and a hole saw for this with positive results. We didn’t have mill yet, so I turned a little guide bit on the lathe to center the hole saw drill on the fork. Takes some tinkering to get the hole saw diameter right.
If it works, it works.

Cool! I don’t have a lathe or a drill press, but I suppose if I can’t use a method which is available to me now I can keep the broken fork around in case a time ever comes where I have more equipment.
