Gorgeous.
Looks great!
Does the seat post have an internal wedge or binder?
Thanks, yes it does. Modified Pivotal BMX seat post with custom lamb leather seat cover over a BMX race saddle
Bike of the Day again!
That’s the only reason to build bikes. Hahaha
Not enough building going on currently for me but am getting the new workshop fitted out so swings and round abouts.
Do have a frame I am finishing offf but had to wait for a new set of rockers to come in for it. Just have to prep the bearing seats and put the seat stay sub assembly together then off to powder coat.
An Oisin delivered to one very happy customer. Very excited first ride reports coming back.
Getting a little bit of riding in testing the Demon XC to it’s limits and getting to ride in the snow. Always a novelty here. Cailte DH is being tested by a couple fast young pinners and reports are ‘this bike rips!’, a couple little tweaks to make to architecture. Mostly moving away from needle bearings in the linkage. Right component but the tolerancing needed is really difficult to hit so moving over to flange deep groove bearings for ease of building and servicing etc.
and of course still working around the day job because we all know eating is important.
Not a lot of building going on lately. In a bit of a holding patern waiting for parts to arrive and still trying to get this workshop moved. Have developed two new bikes and ordered one set of 3D prints for the e-trail and do a full size plastic print of the DH bike and paint it for the Australian Sea Otter show next month.
e-trail (not named yet) 150mm f/r 480 reach 23kg (projected)
e-DH (not yet named either) 200mm f/r 465 reach 25-25.5kg
As usual beautiful
Hi Sean,
the ebike models look great. Will you use the TQ60 motor?
-Thom
Thanks Thom. No, using the Maxon Air S with 600Wh battery.
32" front and rear?
Beautiful! 32ers look so elegant.
Reach around 530? RC 470?
That will fit me. Should I send my address?
Looks great
Absolutely ![]()
Reach 520
FC/RC ratio 1.83
I chatted with @JMY about their design philosophy and then made some tweaks of my own ideas as well. I am confident it will ride well and teh customer is ok with tweaking later if we think it needs it. Mostly by adjusting the rear end more than the front. Will be running Intend front and read, Intend brakes and AXS drive train.
Look great, Sean!
Let’s hope whatever I told you won’t be completely useless. ![]()
And I’m jealous to hear that you’ve got your hands on some of those Intend brakes.
Always amazed that such expensive kit sells out within hours of each new batch drop.
What a beast!
Great geo. Why did you choose a BB that high? I think it’s great, but not common.
830 saddle height Booya! This fella must be “André the Giant” like tall.
