After soaking off the flux from a frame, what do you do with the contaminated water?
With all the nasty warning labels on the flux, I don’t feel super keen on just dumping it down the drain.
Lots of caveats, but the major problem with flux is it’s acidic. You can add a base to it to get the PH back to something that won’t kill fish, plants etc.
There is a nice discussion here from a rural (well , septic) perspective.
I will add that in Seattle household hazardous waste will take anything!
