First build completed

Hi,

Thought I’d share my first build and paint. Mullet hardtail, with paragon dropouts to switch between wheel sizes. Rides surprisingly well for my first design, guess all those n+1 buys over the years have taught me a thing or two on geo…although 75mm bb drop is taking a bit of recalibration.
Headtube paint needs a bit of a tidy up though…need to get better at masking?

That looks Great! what head angle and seat angle did you build? and how much travel is the fork? I feel like 75mm is a lot of drop, but my last hardtail had 150mm travel and 55mm drop.

Cheers, it’s a 140m and 65 degrees at sag (20%, a little less than I normally run on a full sus), seat angle is 76. Yeah, definitely have to be quite mindful going over small rollovers/ rocks with the chainring at low speeds (chained out the cranks to 30T with a bash guard). But on very steep terrain that we have where I live (southern norway) its pretty remarkable how composed its for so little travel…you can just lean on the front and I feel the smaller wheel really helps it turn. Until the repetitive root chatter destroys my aging knees :).
Not tested on with a 29er rear with a proper tire on the steeper trails yet…might remove some of the chatter.
