Flat mount drop out stress riser?

With the closing of PMW, I find myself looking for an alterative to their flat mount dropout (DR2085) that I have grown accustomed to using for my road bikes. I am looking at the somewhat similar dropout from Bear Frame supplies (see attached picture). What are your thoughts about a possible stress riser on the inside 90 angle of the non-drive side? Not a problem? Fill with a brass fillet or silver brazed steel wedge? Recommendations for a different drop out? Thanks for any thoughts and input. Daniel

It’s probably OK because the metal looks very thick anyway. Dropouts can crack, and I have repaired them before, but those were very thin ones. If you put a fillet in it then would the flat mount system still work? Presumably that’s why it’s shaped like that in the first place?

Thanks for you insight - I think you are exactly right that the flat mount section fills that corner

I wouldn’t worry about this, the flatmount section fills this nicely when brazed. I’ve used these to good effect several times. Hopefully Bear can ramp up production to match new demand.
