Flume Tooling? Experiences?

Hey Folks,
Has anyone used any of the Flume tooling?

Curious about your experiences.

Thanks

I emailed about a tool eta, and got a prompt response, tool was paid for a delivered quickly and as expected, tool works as advertised. Would use again, what is your concern?

When I first started building I bought a few things that I kind’ve regret. Flume is just an unknown brand to me and I haven’t seen any feedback online about the products.

If I may, what did you purchase? Happy to take this conversation off-line if you’d like.

Good experience also for me.

Ordering new Tires tools. When I ordered the tool will not be in stock but I received a leadtime for 2 weeks. 2 weeks later tools will be ready and shipped.

I recommand

I have his fork jig. It’s very well made and works great.

What tool are you looking at? Everyone’s approach to frame building is different and I think that when buying tools the expectation is that you are getting 70% of what you need but will have to modify/customize to your liking. There really is no “one size fits all” option.

I bought the brake boss fixture because it is pretty straight forward and wasn’t worth my time to design my own when an off the shelf item existed.

I’m interested in the CS/SS fixture as well as the fork fixture.

As far as I can tell these look quite similar to the Anvil designs. I’m fine with modding or getting used to things.

My biggest concern was ensuring Flume has a bit of legitimacy. There’s more than a few examples of people ending up burned by people who had the best intentions but couldn’t follow though.

Everything I have gotten was well made and what I expected. Communication was great and timelines we well communicated as well as updates.

Your thread reminded me of another tool that I was going to order, emailed last week and had the same positive experience, the tool looks like it will ship next week. Bottom line, Flume is a reliable source for Framebuilding tools.
