(Free ready to use resource) Internal cable guide and stopper inlays kit

Background of this project
In my recent project, I build stainless frame and a small repair in an alloy frames, until this non steel internal cable guide parts is hard to find. My only on-stock is just steel portal cable guide set from Allotec, and they work great through all my steel frames. So I make this cable guide kit at least it can be my investment for my own products. Also planned to manufacture them soon locally if possible from alloy/stainless cast or metal 3d print for some of them

Worth to note—I previously build my own cable inlays for barrel adjuster based on Allotec small portal (then inspired from Condor, Fairlight, and Standert bikes), why not to redesign them while designing this kit. The design of my old cable inlays is just plain build from conventional shape and need some “aesthetic” touch :sweat_smile:

Important notes

  • DO WHATEVER YOU WANT FOR PERSONAL/COMMERCIAL PROJECT. You can modify/override the logo, the shape, Print/CNC’ed/machined them, or anything on it with your own responsibility
  • The portal and insert are inspired from Allotec one, measurement may similar but not exactly same.
  • The hole in the insert can fit hydraulic housing (6.5mm clearance)
  • M3 countersink to secure the insert with the portal, 8mm min bolt length
  • ISO regular threaded hole on the M3 portal bolt (M3x0.5) and mech inlays for barrel adjuster (M5x0.8) are integrated on the design
  • You can resin print the blank closure for more cost effective way
  • The functionality of inlays clearance is safe virtually inspected with M5 ISO4579 bolt and ⌀44 tube (see images as follow)
