Hello everyone, I apologize if this post has been made already, but I’m curious if anyone could explain how, generally, changes in geometry affect handling. Obviously this is a huge topic, but I’ll start with an example: I built my first frame this year and, when I ride it, I notice that the bike really like to ‘pull’ to the left/right when I turn. E.g. if I begin to turn the bars and lean into the turn, it feels like the bike wants me to keep turning. I’ll attach a photo of the bike here for reference of the geo.
I guess I’m wondering 1) what could cause this specific handling issue? and 2) is there a chart somewhere of how things like, say, BB drop, reach, rake, etc. etc. affect steering, acceleration, etc. I know that to really get a handle on it you have to ride and build many, many bikes, but I’m just curious if anyone could give me a head start
