Idk if this is correct usage of this forum, its my first psot
. Anyways, I i’ve been building up and painting bikes for a few years now but finally started getting into the actual fabrication and brazing side of it. After cutting my disc tabs from 3/8th inch mild steel and fitting them to fit with my jury rigged jig I fell in love with brazing. I know my joints arnt perfect and maybe my bike isnt even safe, but I just wanna get better and better making frames and brazing in general. The problem is I dont really have a space to use, or thr funds to afford any kind of premade jig (i was thinking about making one out of wood? (Non adjustable for a single frame use)). That being said, if there are any people in Portland who would be interested in showing a young person around frame construction and fixturing etc, lets get in contact! I have been learning bikeCAD and about geometry, and would love to help out maybe do some prep work, and learn more about building frames!
Here is the bike with discs!
