It’s Kaiwe Chen from Taiwan.
This is the build log for my very first one of the Framebuilding.
Last December I met with the owner of the Lighthouse Framebuilding school in Taiwan, Mr. Sihow Yeh, in the exhibition called “Dream Bicycle” in the National Taiwan Ocean University.
The this gave me the opportunity to the class of Framebuilding.
After the exhibition, I made my mind to take the Spring Class of Framebuilding for 2023.
My 1st Project is to build the modern road bike with disc brake. After several discussion with Mr.Yeh, we made our mind to challenge with several features including shaped Tubing including Spirit HSS&Max,Taper Headtube, T47 BB shell, internal cable routing around BB, which made our class really suffering but unforgettable.
Before we really started to build the frame, we
spent 3 days of class to practice the mitering, brazing and using the BikeCAD while waiting for the tubing and the parts from Paragon Machine Works.
The original design of the frame was to tribute the famous Cinelli Laser America Max for the overhang top tube feature “pig snout”.
Also the tripple triangle design, which was been dropped due to manufacturing complexity.
Once the tubing and parts recieved, it actually start my framebuilding journey.
