Sweet ride dude ![]()
I have met another framebuilder in my town called Markus and his bike brand is called Tante Mäkki. He is a super nice guy and he has bought an old framebuilding shop. Since he doesen‘t have a place to build bikes he has rent a place in the „Inno Lab“ wich is a facility wich supports young start ups. The Inno Lab has a really nice machine shop so we are cooking up something new:
If you want to see us build the jig you can follow him on Instagram:
New Bike!
Since I have seen @Bucko‘s front triangles I always wanted to Build my own one. Thanks for the inspiration!
Acid etched head tube badge:
Gxp to DUB adapter because Mountainbike standarts suck:
Current setup with 26/27,5 mullet and no chain:
Test ride at Wexl Trails in Austria:
I have never been to a bikepark with such smooth Trails, not a single braking bump in sight. You can ride everything without a chain and probably without Brakes
huge thanks to the Builders!
Love the park bike!
Come say hi next time ![]()
If you’re in the area again, the trails at Krems am Donau are short but well built. More enduro stuff but still fun. Lots of super nice stuff in Graz too.
Damn that’s a nice bike!
And yes, do say hi when you’re in the area next time! (I’m in Graz…)
Also, very nice Merc T1 308D ![]()
Last year I modified an old bmx frame with some diskbrakes, sadly the frame cracked at the Head Tube after the first Session ![]()
Next week I am going on an Bike Packing Trip Around our lake the „Bodensee“. There are a lot of Skate Parks on our way, so the Plan is to take the BMX bikes with us. So it‘s time to Build up a new BMX:
The Bike has a really cool paint job but it‘s a pain to search for cracks. I couldn‘t get the drop outs to look good with spray paint, so I cold blued them and put some linseed oil on them.
For taking the bikes with us I build some holders for bike rags:
What rear end did you use? Your build looks great!
Thanks! The rear end is from a 2020 Scott Gambler
New build coming along nicely!
Really happy with my setup right now, the new Jig and the miter fixture rocks.
Hi, I know your post is quite old now, but you can find some very helpful tube bending info here: https://bendtooling.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/08/Bend-Tooling-Mandrel-and-Wiper-Selection-Chart-110927.pdf. They also have a longer pdf with more info that is helpful. The chart can be a good guideline, though I have found it to be a bit conservative. Your bikes look great!
