An update on this frame design and tubing.
I rebuilt the rear end using the same design, but used 4130 instead of stainless, and increased the seat stays from 3/8”x.049” stainless to 3/8”x.058” 4130. I also increase the wishbone connector piece from 3/8” to 1/2” (not sure wall thickness, probably .049”). Since the rebuild I’ve ridden the frame quite hard and it’s held up great.
