dumb question I have some mystery chain stays ( true temper is what was written on them ) I want to enter into bike cad and I have no information about them.. bend radus etc where the bend starts and finishes etc.. besides just tracing/ hand drawing them on the plans what’s a good way to enter them in to Bike Cad ?
Chainstay and seatstay modeling in BikeCAD can be tricky.
The method you’ve outlined is pretty much the way to do it.
You’ll have to measure up the stays you have based on ‘Method 1’ or ‘Method 2’ and then fiddle around a bit to dial in the positioning.
I’d recommend activating the relative dimensions in the auxiliary chainstay view so you can see in the main window what happens as you’re making adjustments.
