Don Ferris era
It comes fully assembled and functional as shown in the photos, including a solid set of accessories that make it ready to build right away. No mods or hacks—just a clean, all original pro-level setup.
Included Accessories & Features:
- Core Type 3.1 fixture with central BB-centered backbone/plate (integrated scales for precise geometry setup), tilting head tube arm with silver conical puck/cone (interchangeable for different HT IDs), seat tube/rear arm, and adjustable chainstay/seatstay towers.
- Integrated purge/back-purge system (red tubing lines with fittings/valves) for argon shielding during TIG welding to prevent oxidation/sugaring—essential for clean stainless, Ti, or high-quality steel work.
- Main sliding rail assembly/backbone section with dual precision steel rails, quick-release orange cam levers for fast adjustments, upright tower mounts, and stabilizing foot/leg for bench use.
Universal Tube Holder— vertical post with orange quick-cam lever and cork/wood-lined cradle for securely holding mid-frame tubes (top tubes, down tubes, curved seat tubes, stays) without marring or rolling.
- Quick-release clamp arm / “third hand” block (black cross/X-shaped with orange cam lever) for extra tube support or centerline holding during mitering, dry fits, or tacking.
- Threaded clamp screw/post/alignment pin (cylindrical rod) that pairs with the clamp block for adjustable grip, height, or dropout locating.
- Dummy axle mounts at chainstay ends (cylindrical holders; likely includes at least one or more standard sizes—common bundles have 100–142mm options).
- Orange quick-release levers throughout for tool-free, repeatable setups.
This is a comprehensive kit—far more equipped than a bare-base jig. Production on these ended years ago and very rare. This has been sitting in our warehouse used one time before we halted production.
Hi! I’m potentially interested if this is still available. I’m located in New Orleans, so I could probably drive out and pick it up. I’m not sure if I can message directly through the forum (yet?). What’s the best way to get in touch?
