Rear rack/fender mounting points dimensions

I know this is probably pretty simple and could just be worked out during the design process, but I’m wondering if there are any standard dimensions for placing rear rack and fender eyelets on a frame.

I’m designing the rear triangle in Fusion and want to position the lower and upper rack mounts correctly. Are there any accepted dimensions or guidelines for the eyelet locations, especially relative to the rear axle/dropout area and the seat stays?

The two lower points close to the axle seem to be placed at a similar distance and angle across many designs..

AFAIK, there are no standards.

I prefer to have a rack in mind or on hand when placing the mounts. Since the dimensions of racks are so variable, you might as well optimize for the one you plan to use.

Another argument could be made that rack mounts are obsolete now that there are good solutions from Tailfin and Old Man Mountain that mount to the axle and a strap around the seat post.

I was actually thinking if it’s even worth it to drill the frame because there is so many great options!
