I need to replace my original set of unbranded riffler files. Having established the importance of these files for detail work, I am looking for everyone’s recommendation for brand, style etc. A brief glance at the internet suggests quality files are somewhat more expensive than the starter set I have worn out. I am ready to invest in something better. Or, depending on the consensus, buy another unbranded set. Thanks for any input. Daniel
Grobet makes an excellent range of small files.
@Carl_Snarl Metal guru has a bunch.
In addition to a few Grobets, I also have:
Pferd ( PFERD TOOLS Riffler files )
Corradi (https://en.rma-tools.com/riffler-files-c-2_14/)
Vallorbe/Glardon (https://www.vallorbe.com/en-ch/products/rifflers/rifflers)
All of these also have needle files, small half rounds etc, too of course.
All the best,
Dan Chambers

I found a used set of Grobet rifflers on eBay for not much money when I was taking Doug Fattic’s class. If you’re patient, I suspect something useful will turn up.
