Steel Frame Rust Protection

Hi all, I know this was a conversation on this site, but just letting you know Metal Guru now has ProGold Steel Frame Protector in stock.

https://metal-guru.com/collections/consumables/products/progold-steel-frame-protector

It is an aerosol, so it can only be shipped by ground to the continental USA.

If you select air shipping at check out you will be down graded to ground, so please don’t choose that option.

thanks,
~Carl

Hi Carl,
I didn’t want to start a whole thread, but was wondering if you could point me in the right direction for a handle for the adjustable reamers you sell.
Thanks,
Galen

hi Galen,
I usually machine the flats on the reamer down to 1/2 and then weld an impact extension on.
this gives more depth of cut and also you can make a handle from any 1/2 socket adapter with handles welded on.
Store bought handles are very pricey, up to 2x the cost of the reamer…

if you do this, just remember to roll it on a flat surface to check alignment while it is tacked, before welding it solid…

Thank you for the advice, I was trying to think of something like this but figured I’d ask.

Would this work to protect a raw steel frame? For how long? How does this compare to the spray.bike cold zinc spray?

Any reviews of this product?
