Step File Request . Heat Sink

By any chance, anyone have a Heat Sink STEP file willing to share with the community? I’m planning on ordering the fabrication of a couple seat tube heat sinks in my local CNC shop and would like to see different solutions…

This seems like a fun project to work on while I’m currently in between shop spaces. What size are you looking for? Also I know Joe at Cobra has been working to develop his own heat sinks.

Tried to order from Joe but he is only working on BB Heat sinks for now…

Designed a simple heat sink for the ST inspired by some pictures in PDV website. The Botton cone is TIG welded to the threads rod. They are being fabricated now and will be tested as soon as possible. If anyone want the FUSION or STEP file, I can share…

I would advise against welding any part of a heat sink. All parts should be serviceable and replaceable. The constant tightening and loosening along with heat cycles will mean the thread and nut will eventually need to be replaced. Stake the lower cone into place with a grub screw after machining a small flat on the threaded rod.

Thanks for your feedback. The part I was thinking that could be better welded is the bottom cone to the threaded rod but probably it won’t be needed…
