We have developed and manufactured a gravel fork for the use in tandems and heavy duty touring bikes. We opened our own mold, and do make the fork available to other frame builders.
Since there is no ISO/EN test for tandem forks, in discussion with one of the biggest European testing institute, we tested the fork with the Cargo bikes standard requirements (EN ISO 4210-2/6 and DIN79010-02:2020 Standard) successfully.
The HILITE Tandem Fork Carbon was developed to increase luggage transport options while saving weight on tandems and touring bikes. Use in wheels with wheel sizes 26, 27.5’’ and 28’', while maintaining the installation height of 420mm. The fork has space for up to 65 mm tires. It is compatible with dynamo hubs with the option of internal cable routing, allowing for an elegant and robust connection from your dynamo to the power supply or your favorite lighting system. The fork also features a unique “no-thread through-eyelet system” that greatly reduces stress on the carbon sidewalls, resulting in load capacity and reliability that is second to none. The included stainless steel bushings are completely replaceable - damaging a screw no longer means that your fork will ultimately need to be repaired. Lighting and mudguard mounting options provide maximum flexibility to adapt the fork to your adventure.
