I thought I’d drop this in the discussion because it took me a minute to get sorted. I, like many of you, opted for Tange LR26-A-1 dropouts for my most recent build.
I used a 1 generation old Red AXS group and when I adjusted my derailleur, I was maxed on micro adjustment and hitting all the gears by a very narrow margin. I researched Sram’s frame spec to find that the dropout is slightly outside of their parameters. Not a bid deal for mechanical groups but some of you may run into this issue with AXS.
Sram’s spec for measurement ‘t’ on thru axle road bikes is 3.5-5.5 mm and the Tange dropout is about 7.5 mm. It was a fairly easy measurement as the inside of the hanger plate is on the same plane as the surface that the end of the axle interfaces with. I faced the outside of my hanger down 2.5 mm to get back into the middle of the micro adjustment range.
