That makes sense. It’s why I would suggest to get tube blocks that are all dimensionally identical other than the bore. That way, you’re only zeroing up the y-axis once.

That might be tricky to line up with your eye because the rounded v-groove shape of the tool means the tube isn’t fitted right against the 12 and 6 o’clock positions of the tool. You’d likely get parallax errors.
That would be a great, economical solution. The Paragon blocks vary in size. Maybe the Alex Meade blocks are identical. Or you could machine or 3d-print your own too.

Yeah, of course. It might means some extra pieces/ponters/marks to ensure consistent reading.
I think the split tube blocks with the pins that the Cobra use would be the best setup. That has alsways been my fiddle point of setting the tube block in the vice. Easy fix though.
