I would love to be able to afford the Cobra Toob Bender but adding in all the needed dies and the price gets up there quick.
Does anyone have any recommendation for a bender they use? Not really looking to start bending main tubes but would be really nice to have the ability on CS and SS tubes. thanks all
Unless you can find a cheap di acro and make your own dies, there’s nothing that compares to the cobra toob bender for straight gauge 4130 for chainstays and seatstays in .035 or .049 wall. I have it and all the 7/8” dies and the smallest radius for 5/8”. I don’t regret buying it whatsoever. I can do 3 bends per tube. It’s been a while since I looked at other options, but I remember most alternatives were geared towards motorsport where they use thicker walled tubes; benders like jd2, and I don’t think the dies for it are any less expensive. If you want to make s bend stays without a machine shop to make dies the toob bender is the best available tool
