3D Printed Parts finishing

Hi everyone.
Been using 3D printing parts for a while, in Stainless, and I’m curious to know what types of finishing people do. I like the texture difference of the printed parts and polished tubes but would like to try a full polished frame.

Is hand polishing the only option really useful?

Thanks in advance…

You’re talking about just polishing the parts, then joining to a polished frame right? Not polishing a full frame?

If so, tumbling the printed parts can give polished results but is limited in sharp corners and internals and can round features. A lot of people use chemical milling to polish printed parts. This can give great surface roughness and pretty good feature retention but will be the most expensive (depending on how you calculate your manual hours hand polishing). https://www.remchem.com/ this is an example company we’ve worked with.
