Building a road bike and drawing by hand—no CAD. Can anyone provide a standard measurement from axle center to brake bridge center for 700c rim brake wheels?
it depends on the caliper used and tire size. i’d keep it less than 36cm.

Will run ~28mm wide tire and modern Shimano side-pull brakes. Based on my measurements of an old fork I was thinking 355-360mm, so I’ll keep it on the shorter end. Thank you.

I used 355mm (-18mm offset SS) in my latest design. With a R8100 caliper, it landed in the perfect spot. The tire shown is 700x30:
