Been a bit quiet here, mostly because I have been crazy busy working through customer builds and getting ready for MADE.
With a move to a new and much larger shop just around the corner it was time to stop procrastinating and finally design my ne welding stand.
This is made to hold a Park Tools wall mount repair stand, the brass rod will be attached to the clamp head which will have a braided ground strap run through the jaws. the area between the spacers will fit my ground clamp and allow the brass rod and clamp head to rotate freely without moving the lead. The entire assembly will slide up and down as well as pivot around the main shaft which with a spring assist will retract up into the ceiling when not in use. This will allow the floor of the welding booth to be completely free of any obstructions.

Ceiling mounted welding setup sounds awesome, now I’m thinking of how I can mount my park stand overhead. Would love to see pictures of that setup once you get it going, congrats on the new shop space!
I have a Farr chainstay jig. Can I see not pics of the BB part to do the assembly? I want to try new frames that way

These were the prices I paid per part. Keep in mind, everything was a qty of 3, so it may be more expensive if you did a one-off.
- Tower (the machined piece) : $44.44
- Short BB dummy: $44.44
- long BB dummy: $66.67
- Shipping: $45
Pretty good all things considered. You could probably save money if you machined your own BB dummies. I was lazy
