I would be in for one. I know a machinist I can ask him is he can do it.
The new shop build is nearly complete. There are still some small things left to move and a lot of organizing to be done, but I’ll be in there and working tomorrow.
The week started with a wrap up on the last 5 frames to be built in the old shop. These were completed on Tuesday.

Once those frames were ready to head to the powder coater it was a mad scramble to pack and label everything that was in the large snap-on tool box as this was the first thing that had to go to make room to start moving the rest of the equipment.

By Wednesday afternoon the tool box was empty, out of the shop and loaded on the trailer along with two new smaller tool boxes. The welding equipment was all packed and ready for transport, the steel fab table and surface plate were also ready to move, and the park repair stand and base were ready to head to the new shop.
On Thursday we headed out to pick up a drop deck trailer and a second forklift.

Friday was all about moving the machines and it was a lot to move out of a very cramped space. Each machine had to be carefully positioned so that the fork lift would clear the rafters and still be able to move the machine out. The first machine out was the RoundTower vertical mill, followed by the Enco 13x40 lathe, then the Brown and Sharpe no1 1/3, and finally the Bridgeport.

Sorry to have cut off halfway, I was dead tired and needed some sleep.
Anyway, Friday was all about getting the machines out of the old shop. It was quite a task, but we managed to move everything but the Bridgeport which was pulled and loaded on the trailer to be taken over first thing in the morning.
Saturday was all hands on deck as we began the long painful process of unpacking and trying to organize the new shop. My biggest fear is walking into the new shop for months, not knowing where anything is. The electrician was on hand to finish wiring in all of the machines while everyone else started putting things away. I used this as an opportunity to purge anything I hadn’t touched in recent memory which ended up freeing up a ton of space.
Sunday the office was painted and re-floored and more unpacking was done. Sunday night all of the office furniture, computer, and printers were moved over.
Monday the internet was installed, the shop is mostly together and workable. I have a few projects to finish up, but I need to work in the space a bit before making the final decisions. Tomorrow I will start on the first frame in this shop, It was exactly 7 days from finishing the last frame in the old shop to starting the first in the new. I could not have pulled this off without help from my dad, my wife, Erik R, Mac M, Todd Farr, Arthur Richardson, @Daniel_Y, the guys from Finish Logic, and Lee from Full Metal Cycles. Finally something worth posting here!
My older brother runs a BMX team and my oldest nephew was ready for new bikes so I decided to build a batch of 20’s and 24’s. I just finished putting one of the cruisers together for myself and plan to do some racing this summer and fall.

Are the wheels custom built? Looking for a sturdy 20in for disc.
Didn’t know about races around us, care to share the event? Would like to come see some.
The wheels are a pre built set from Answer. Box also makes complete disc wheels and you can always lace your own to onyx or profile hubs.
There is a BMX track in Napa, they race every Thursday night and Saturday morning.
