This article on PROVA is a must-read:

It is worth the subscription to Escape IMO. In-depth coverage is hard to do in today’s short attention span economy.

This is so cool. I don’t think anyone else is coming close to making frames at that quality.

Also I made another video about making a fork.

Even as a mountain biker that doesn’t really race I still highly recommend subscribing. The site is road focused but they do great photo galleries and tech. They also have great interviews with industry people on the geek warning/overnight success podcast.

Another Prova shop visit:

Lots of secrets there!

You can see how the dropout surfaces are made:

Also, the yoke, seat lug, dropout, and headtube upper assembly are designed in the assembly rather than separate components (separate components have a “Link” icon):

Ahh… there are no secrets really. Just a super refined workflow that he has created. His models are full parametric so he makes a head angle change then everything updates automatically. Lots and lots of hours sunk into getting those models like that. Super talented dude.

Interesting… at least to me.

I wonder how long the kinematic design took. There’s a lot going on there. I’m not MTBer enough to comprehend.

@discobot might help

Hi! To find out what I can do, say @discobot display help.

New fatbike bike from Surly with a new tyre size. 24 x 6.2"! Looks like a lot of fun. Will be interesing to see if other brands even consider supporting it. I’ve found Surly tyres kinda suck.

Sarto is a very undervalued company from my town, visited multiple times and talked to him as well - unfortunately we never got to work together but I always wanted to.

Undervalued!! Sarto are massively respected. My impression has been that they are just a little less present in some circles. I assumed they would be quite popular in Italy though?

From what I understand they do a lot of behind the scenes work for other people as well. They made a lot of Condor’s early carbon frames. I know of a few other companies that have used them for short runs and prototypes as well.

USA Gravel nationals was this weekend in Nebraska.

This seems like a pretty big deal to see small, domestic manufactured, titanium gravel bikes beating the top of the line carbon superbikes for the stars and stripes!!

There have also been small batch steel bikes on the World cup downhill podium this year.

Hopefully this is a sign of the paradigm shift we have all been hoping for to show everyone that the little guys can still beat the big guys!

That’s the one, Anna is a beast!

Asa Vermette has also been dominating the Jr. series and just became world champion aboard his aluminum Frameworks bikes. Really cool story there too.
