Yes, that’s clearly a Hiride fork. Makes sense, they’re an Italian company…

Loved the Action Tec forks… at least in theory.

That Purple Dog is amazing. I love this fork design also! Is there a name for this style, and are there known downsides or is it just not popular? It seems dead simple.

Was intrigued by this fork to.
What I didddnt understand was that the tube from the rack going up, it looked like it is attached to the headtube

Had another look at it again. It’s not attached, it’s for a bag

Those bikes aren‘t made with love, but it‘s still cool to watch all of those machines…

Really nice video from Korea. I love the use of the park steer tube cutter as a universal tube holder in the vise.
Also, a good example of using the frame alignment tool I made. I’m always delighted when these show up as an easter egg for me.

Nicely made video, interesting using the lathe to notch the tubes and the DIY jig

Hope he doesn’t get a chip in the eye while running the milling machine.

I assume if he does he can wash it out with brake cleaner

Note: Don’t get brake cleaner in your eyes!

Cool seat post sleeve, and a lovely bike!
I cringed seeing the chuck key left in the lathe, I don’t think this guy is big on safety
Also don’t turn your reamers backwards!

Gets me hyped to maybe build my own one…

Just do it. Even if the first one isn’t great at least you’ve made a start and you’ll learn heaps out of it.

Hey I thought people here might appreciate this, I made a youtube building a frame. Check it out.

Wow, big thanks! Always a pleasure seeing what kind of process and tools other framebuilders have. Like your rear triangle jigs - we have a super duper jig from Mr. Wolf but it is soooo heavy and awkward with our small milling machine, the whole job could be much easier with lighter jigs like yours. And I didn’t know you’re allowed to use 1-2-3 blocks as scribes

But no secret curvy top tube process, what a bummer! What tube did you use for internal routing?

Glad you enjoyed it. Ya I made those fixtures when I first started and always figured I’d replace them but if it works it works. The internal tube was the stainless stuff frame builder supply is selling. First time using it. I resent internal routing but it worked pretty good, definitely heavy but that’s just one of the drawbacks of internal you know.

I actually used a sample top tube from Taiwan on this frame so I didn’t even form it, but mitering it is exactly the same as a straight tube.

Cheers
