Hi everyone. I am planning to make a truss fork for my next cargo bike frame. I really like Oddity’s Squidfork design.

I’m thinking about simply using .75" or .625" x .035" straight gauge 4130. I could use .049" but I’m thinking that it will be overkill. Thoughts?
I think you should add a truss stem. There are several versions I’ve seen floating around, similar to this I saw recently.

Very cool and interesting fork/handlebar design. It won’t work with what I have planned.
I am making a truss fork for my next cargo bike which will have no stem attached to the fork in a traditional way. I’m making an updated version of this:
I really like the way my bike rides and handles but I made some rookie mistakes in the construction. It was challenge to make and I would like to try again with something different to add up front.

That is so awesome!
Love those Ursus Jumbo kickstands. I had some to hold up a beach cruiser with a baby seat: they are so amazing.
